Jaffna distrrict is 98% Tamil as a result of LTTE's genocidal war, and ironically they call us the genociders?
Both r/srilanka and r/eelam often try to portray the LTTE as freedom fighters resisting the Sri Lankan government's treatment of Tamils. While the government did take actions that contributed to ethnic tensions and grievances, the LTTE was ultimately a violent terrorist organization that used those issues as a justification to carry out brutal attacks and spread terror across the country — harming countless innocent Sri Lankans in the process.
