Kadyrov awarded his nephew Hamzat with a medal "For Merit to the Chechen Republic". Hamzat had previously reported destroying all targets over Chechnya on the day of Azerbaijan Airlines plane was shot down. Of the 67 people aboard, 38 died and 29 survived.
