a bit biased because i'm from qfin, but despite both programs nurturing great batch of classmates, hkust qfin is definitely more reputable in the local community with good employability - there's a stat that shows qfin having the highest average starting salary amongst other hkust majors. But yea it's much more intense than ampb with more math and coding course requirements, so eventually it really depends on what track you want to be in. cuz there's also quite some precedent cases of qfin students getting into am and pb fields.
