Parvo induced anxiety

My new rescue pup had parvo as a pup and despite being raised in a foster environment seems quite afraid of basics like brushing, ear cleaning, nail clipping and teeth cleaning. He will not let me touch him with anything he doesn’t know in my hands. I wonder if parvo may be the root cause?
