Does Citalopram 10 mg already have a therapeutic effect?

I was wondering if anyone might have experience with taking 10 mg of citalopram daily as their usual dose.

I have seen online that its just a starting dose and doesnt have any effect. Please let me know, im wondering if i should increase my dose. Thanks!
