Re-regulating the cannabinoid system after THC abuse
Hello all, Apologies if this is the wrong subreddit, but I think it fits here.
Like many, I abused THC from the age of 13 until the age of about 30, starting with maybe once a week to daily usage of strong concentrate most of my late teens and 20s. My memory, attention span are trash garbage and I've struggled with bad depression this whole time and I feel as if it's related. I am an intelligent person and these were not issues before I started smoking as a teen. It's time for a change and I am going weed free again (for real this time haha) but I am looking into healing the endocannibinoid system. For me, the biggest symptoms besides aforementioned mental issues are even when I am weed free/tolerance breaking I still have appetite/stomach issues, frequent headaches and hyperhidrosis. They are worst when in withdrawals from quitting but did not go away even on month+ t breaks
Enough backstory, my question is what are some non-thc cannabinoids or other non cannabinoid substances that can help to re-regulate the endocannabinoid system back to it's natural state or basically "counter-act" the damage THC has done to me. I have heard a combo of CBD/CBG is helpful, and I take CBD to take the edge off things, but unsure if this is really helping in the long term. Is there any research done on this? Anyone have personal experience?
Thank you for any who read this, I tried researching but had poor luck finding anything.
