What Are the Best Note-Taking Methods? Share Your Go-To
Hey r/yourstudybuddy,
I've been experimenting with different note-taking methods recently, and it made me curious—what works best for everyone here? There's the classic Cornell method, mind mapping for big-picture thinkers, or even digital tools like OneNote or Notion. But honestly, I feel like everyone has their own little tweaks and tricks that make their method unique.
Here’s what I’ve learned during my experiments so far:
- Handwritten notes: Great for memory retention, but tough to organize when I'm cramming.
- Digital notes: Convenient and easy to edit, but sometimes I get distracted by the internet rabbit hole.
- Mind maps: Perfect for connecting concepts, but hard to use for detailed subjects like chemistry equations.
On top of that, I’ve recently come across some great online resources for studying. One standout is EduBirdie’s Docs, which has free lecture notes and study materials that other students have shared. It’s like having an online study buddy to help fill in those gaps when my notes are incomplete.
What about you? How do you take notes, and what methods have worked (or failed) for you? Are there any tools or platforms you swear by?
Would love to hear your thoughts—especially any hacks that have made learning easier!
