Animals! What kind of special animals and life does your setting have? Are they original, are they unique variants of life we have in real life?

Avatar TLA had so many unique animals they made by taking real life animals and then combining them with each other - badgermoles, kittenmoths, spiderflies, skunk bears, and all kinds. The science fiction Avatar movies had so much original lifeforms made for the setting I can't even begin to name...because I forgot.
