Tell me about your gods that aren't actually gods!

In my world, there are five sentient stars that are worshipped as gods. One was the creation of tech-freaks and a powerful witch-queen. The other four are just natural and unexplainable phenomenon (think Boltzmann Brains but they are stars and last for a long time) made way before humans were ever a thing. They are pretty powerful and essentially represent some human emotions, but otherwise had nothing to do with godhood, creating reality, etc.

What are your "gods" that aren't actually gods? How are they worshipped? Are there actual gods and do people know about them? Do some people know these "gods" aren't real?
