Is Nessa crazy?

I'm unfamiliar with the source material (both book and musical) and I've only seen Wicked once.

So, Nessa gets a crush on Boq because he's a short king and can't see shit either.

I don't quite remember the order of events but Biq (keeping the typo!) crushes on Glinda, Glinda shoos Boq towards Nessa, and then Nessa sings about how they deserve each other? Deserve is a very big word. Why do you deserve a boy you barely know?

Does anyone else find that odd?
