What’s worth the money?

So my fiancé and I recently got engaged and set a budget in our heads for what we are willing to spend. We were talking over what we wanted to spend for certain things, and were kind of wondering what is actually worth spending money on versus what you can get away with going cheaper on.

So, a few questions for all those who recently had their weddings:

What was worth every penny? What was something you’d do over again for more or less? What is something that is worth it to DIY?
