Married day of wedding or in advanced?

We're getting married mid February 2025. The plan is to go and get the license early January and then officially get married and sign the paperwork at the wedding. However a big part of why we're getting married is so I can get on my future husband's health insurance, as my current insurance is very expensive and I'm very limited in coverage. We didn't think it would be a big deal to wait a month or two but I have some health things come up that I'd like to deal with sooner than later so are now considering getting legally married early January ahead of the wedding.

If you signed the paperwork at the courthouse to get legally married ahead of time, do you feel like it took anything away from your special day?
