Silk/Faux Flowers?

Sooo I've been starting to plan my wedding at a coastal location 9 hours away from home, and am concerned about the cost/effort needed to transport flowers. Someone mentioned to me that silk or faux flowers would be a good option, but I have no idea where to start aside from my local craft store. I also want to steer away from the papery flowers that tend to come with crafting supplies.

Has anyone had any luck with finding affordable silk flowers with a good selection? I am looking for Purple/Blue Orchids/Rose - Any suggestions welcome!
