tips for catching shining golden ray

i need to catch a golden day in shining quality to complete the shining journal, it’s the last fish i need. i’ve been trying to catch one for 10+ hours and nothing, any tips on how to up my chances? i currently use golden lure and the squid bait alongside XP cola.
