Can someone please provide the most simple instructions to play custom games (footmen frenzy/tower defence)?

I was looking online and I've downloaded several links going from page to page, and haven't figured it out yet. Was just looking for clear step by step guide to go from having absolutely nothing installed to having the original custom games modes accessible to play online with my brother and cousins.
