Is this sub overreacting?

I get that its a big rework and changes a bit of his lore, but a big portion of lol fans are ok with it. Some even like this version better. Maybe its just a "recency" bias? I put it in quotations because im sure its a bias but unsure if its receny bias.

I mean big reworks had happened like morde and aatrox and the community loved it. I also think this viktor is cooler and more unique than "machine herald". Kinda just seem like another iron man for me.

What do you guys think? Is the sub overreacting? With all this boycotts and review bombs...
