My thoughts on VAIl Combat.

It's ass. It's fun, yes, granted... But it's ass. The matchmaking is not skill based, it just throws you into a server without any checks on if you're even in the same leauge, level, or KD as them. Which leads to some... Interesting events. Such as you joining a server fighting against literally all the top leaderboard members, while you only have 0.4 hours on VAIl Combat. (I had 28.3 hours total because of Citadel, yes I counted all my hours playing this.)

Secondly. The recoil. Oh, GOD the recoil. You have to wait SO unfairly long for your next shot to be even close to the head that you're dead by the time your recoil ends.

Thirdly, and most importantly... The game is fucked and bugged out of it's mind. It is not worth 17.99€, it just is not. Not even worth the grinding of crystals. Mostly because you'll develop back problems mining with that bullshit pickaxe that just doesn't WORK! There are some fun clips that do come up sometimes during the gameplay, but those clips get deleted from your mind the moment you remember that the Grot B can insta kill you from any distance, and that it can beam you... From also every distance.

I had my fair share of fun, fair share of bugs, fair share of rage, and an unfair share of "Stop crying, you have a skill issue." when doing commentary (because I record my gameplay for clips) during my gameplay.

Here are some possible fixes for the game, which is currently still in it's god-awful state.

  1. Make the recoil stop throwing the barrel of your gun into the sky.
  2. Fix the bugs, including the invincibility glitch.
  3. Nerf Grot B.
  4. Make Wassies stop existing, or just nerf the 20 damage they do and their weird ass hitbox.
  5. Make an in-built invincibility mode for those who're just trying to mine.
  6. Lower the price from 17.99€ to something a bit lower so more players can roll in, and so that you don't feel scammed for paying almost 20€ for a game that has the worst possible matchmaking.
  7. Fix the bullshit pickaxe hitbox where sometimes it doesn't even register as a swing and sometimes it does.
  8. Fix the wrist grenades for Meta Quest s3.

God, this was the worst and most fun VR game I've experienced in a while.
