I think (most) people are only afraid of spiders because it became the norm.
I always hate it when a random person starts screaming and crying because they see a spider smaller than their fingernail, are they doing it for attention or something?
Ps. Please bring the spiders outside instead of killing it. Killing something because you find it ugly/scary is no excuse
Spiders are needed so please think before you act.
Thank you.
Edit: this is more about the little non toxic spiders, not the giant or toxic ones (Which shouldn't be killed either ofc.).
Edit 2: yes the phobia of spiders is real i know and i understand people react a certain way to it. I myself live in the Netherlands, the chance for poisonous/giant spiders is little to non existing. I just think a lot of people overreact because that's what they mimicked from parents, friends, classmates you name it.
Edit 3: Hereby my last edit: Thanks for all the different kind of reactions from both sides, i really did read them all and even learned a few things i didn't know before.
Surprised how some of the anti spider community keeps justifying their behaviour for their overreaction and killing the spider by blaming it to be in their DNA/genes. Not saying this isn't partly true, but It is always easy to fully blame things on something else, isn't it? Cheers.
