Is Muhammad Ali movement animations bugged?

It seems that the Smooth and Normal stance animations were switched. Seems like the normal movement matches more with the smooth idle stance, right? Seen old footage, and it seems like it was this way before. Why did they destroy lots of shit after a few updates?
