How am I supposed to use Spotify?

I am an album listener mostly but I feel like the Spotify interface is often pretty lackluster for organizing albums.

Over the years I've tried setting up some playlists but I am honestly just too lazy/not determined enough to put in the work to make good playlists. And I don't really enjoy listening to music that way recently.

For a while I felt like Spotify was forcing me to use their automatic playlists compiled to your listening tastes and Discover Weekly. I have on occasions discovered great music like that, but now I can't even find those mixes anymore.

Opening up the app is increasingly jarring, and there's just so much stuff being thrown at me. Meanwhile I mostly just search for the album I want to listen to and put it on. Which works, but it also means I need to discover the music through other means.

...sorry for the rant, but I am trying to ask a sincere question here. I feel like there must be a way that Spotify expects you to use their app... What is that way? Daylists, Radios, the weird shorts feature in "search"? I am open to trying the recommended usage method, if I can figure out what it is.
