Should ı create a new character?

Hi everyone first of all sorty for my english. I was playing the game first when it came out and ı was around 20 30 lvl i wasnt trying to be fast just casuslly playing learning lore and etc so i was pretty slow. So what i want to ask is i was away from the game for so long and i want to change my weapons too should i create a new character or should i continue where i left with my character.
