What are some things that bother you, from the perspective of someone who likes the game?
As someone who at least generally likes the game, what are some things that still bother you?
For me, the pacing kills me. It’s a hard game for me to replay, with the prologue being rather slow and not offering much once you’ve seen it, with it being directly followed by the Seattle day 1 exploration zone which just feels like ticking boxes once you’ve seen it all. Especially after seeing Joel’s death and you get excited to play Ellie’s campaign again.
I find the combat and crafting to kind of kill immersion to a degree. In the combat it feels like you have to choose grounded to be immersed because the AI is so stupid and exploitable that if you don’t get killed immediately on being detected it’s unintentionally kinda funny. The crafting is similar in that somehow a water bottle and rag equals a silencer. I’d rather the action movie epic sequences be toned down to make the combat smaller scale and more realistic because right now it’s a weird line where “ok it’s realistic now and now it’s obviously a video game contrivance”. I realize I’m probably alone in this, and the combat is admittedly mostly satisfying.
Once again I say this as someone who likes TLOU 2.
What are some things you guys hope are improved for part 3?
