Questions from a brand new player
Hello! I've been having a killer time with this game so far! Killed a couple animals and unlocked a few outposts but not much more than that. I think I'm at level 5 or 6.

Some questions I have that I'd love answers to, thanks in advance!
When someone calls and says they found some tracks earlier, what's the point of this? Won't the animal be long gone by then? Or do animals walk in a loop or stay very close to their initial spawn location? If I find a pile of shit on the ground and it says it's old I completely disregard it- is it still worth it to follow old tracks?
Is it EVER ok to run in this game? I notice I make a decent amount of noise even just walking, how far is my sound traveling? Like should I fast travel to a location and then crouch and slow crawl a mile if I'm ever going to have hope of finding a good animal?
On the trophy/kill screen how do you change it to see the whole animal rather than the see through/blue skeleton of your shot. I see people post their animals with what they look like, I can't seem to change from the killshot screen.
I played for the first like 5 hours not knowing I could zoom with my gun or binoculars, this isn't a question, I'm just giving you some insight into how fucking stupid I am.
How far away can you even see an animal? Like how far is the limit of how far an animal will even render in the game? If I'm on a hill where I can see suuuupeer far is it even worth it to look for an animal or should I just stick to where I'm searching within a couple hundred yards?
What reserve map would you recommend buying? I feel like I'm going to spend a LOT of time on the maps that came with the game but some are on sale right now so I might pick up another one. I got the Yukon reserve, I'm wondering what might be another map that is a fan favorite that I should pick up for the future.
How the hell do I know what ammo will work for each weapon!? I bought some rifle rounds and tried to use them with my rifle and it wouldn't let me. I also made the mistake of buying expensive ass tracer BOLTS and was confused when trying to equip them to my bow- this was definitely my mistake because that would be obvious, but with all the other rifle ammo I'm pretty confused.
I really wish this game had a weapon wheel to select your binoculars or an animal call or your gun, pressing up and then left left left is fucking annoying as hell. This isn't a question either I just like to complain, how come you can hold down for a wheel for the dog but not up for a wheel for the equipment!?
