where did all the metalheads go?

idk why but it seems like I've seen pretty much nobody below twenty something with an active interest in metal music. sure you've got your handful of people who like the thrash gods, but not many fans of the heavier stuff. idk, maybe there's just not many where I am or my definition of heavy metal is warped, but where did all the metalheads go??
