12yo mainboard Intel desktop board dz77bh55k doesn't detect 2 of its ports or potentially the drives connected to them
I'll try to keep it as short but detailed as I can. So first things first.
I've recently found out that one of my ssd's had an issue so I had to replace it.
Now today I went and swapped the two ssd's and in case the cable was the issue, the cable as well.
The main thing with this mainboard is the following. It has 7 sata ports, 4 of which, are capable of up to 6gb/s and 3 which aren't. Considering I have 3 sata ssd's I of course checked which ports are which, after not having opened the case in years.
Now the issue is that 2 of the 6gb Ports won't even show up in the bios itself, or potentially the hard drives connected to them aren't being detected, I'm not entirely sure which is the case, been too long since ive properly spent time with this topic.
The following Imgur link has all the photos, that I think are necessary to showcase the issue including some descriptions to them
As described in the texts of the photos. I have checked if the bios is the most recent version, which it was.
I have also used the 2 functiona 6GB (blue)l ports for all hard drives to check if the drives or cables are the issue, and they are all being detected unless I use the A/B Ports.
I have tried and so far failed to find ANY other option within the bios to enable/disable sata ports.
I have tried googling my specific issue with this specific motherboard, and found nothing that seemed to be my issue or something similar enough to it to attempt a solution from those posts.
I am, unfortunately at my wits end, as all I wanted was to replace a harddrive that stopped working properly, with a new drive until the time I have saved up enough money for a new setup in which I will utilize the new drive as the windows only drive while also benefitting from the harddrive right now as a replacement for the "broken" drive in the current old AF setup which is
Motherboard (intel dz 777bh55k) CPU intel i7 3770k GPU Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb 16 DDR3 1600mhz RAM And the 3 hard drives shown in the Imgur pictures
I am aware that is is very unlikely anyone here has any input that might resolve this issue. And the 2 grey sata ports might just be broken in general but if there is anyone here with any idea what the issue might be and what a possible work around could be (other than using a non 6gb/s port or disconnecting the smaller SSD in favor of the new one with double the space than both old ones combined as that's what I'm gonna do if there's no other way)
I greatly appreciate any idea anyone here might have as I am at my wits end and am somewhat hopeful there's an actual solution to this other than
-wait till you got money for new pc -only use the new drive and disconnect older, smaller one -update bios (impossible cuz its the newest one) -and yes. I tried rebooting/going into bios multiple times, please don't suggest a restart either.
Thanks in advance
