Simple question.

Im trying to upgrade the tunic of the depths armour set to level 2. It says i need frox fangs so i googled where to find some and when ive killed 3 of them ive only gotten a obsidian frox fang and i cant upgrade the armour with it?? How do i get a regular frox fang?
