Import vs buying in Europe?

I‘ve come across a few posts from people saying that you can get far better quality for price ratio if you by directly from sellers in China/Japan etc. I really like Assam, Nepalese High Altitude Tea, Matcha and more. Does anyone have any experience with importing your own tea/ perhaps even websites to recommend?
