How would you fix this?

I got my first tattoo 8 days ago. On day 2 I removed the second skin only to realize what I thought was just loose ink was actually in my skin. It looks like some weird blow-out. I sent a photo to my artist and she told me it's normal and it will peel and heal. Well, it's about 99% peeled now and the "seepage" is still there. I'm not convinced it'll go away. Others tell me it doesn't look "that bad" but I absolutely hate it. It looks like I drew it on with a sharpie. Definitely not the nice neat fineline look I was going for.

I was thinking maybe having the cat shaded grey and having a water coloury background added? It completely would change the whole feeling and purpose of the tattoo though. I'm so gutted this happened 😢
