Is anyone else appaled at the state of Olympic Tae-Kwon-Do?
It's not even legitimate Tae-Kwon-Do anymore. There is no technique, and hardly any skill.
All you have to focus on is headshots, headshots, headshots. Body shots are practically irrelevant. There is no emphasis on proper kicking techniques, such as front kicks, back kick, and push kicks, only crappy roundhouse kicks with no power. Theres also that bullshit thing where somone will loop their leg over the oppenent for a headshot
I feel there is no ferocity and no spirit anymore. You dont need to be fast, or strong, more to just wait for your oppenent to make the wrong move.
I am upset that this is what Olympic Tae-Kwon-Do has become, and will now be tuning into Karate in 2020 instead.
