How do you handle BSODs in your Enterprise?

Hi All,

Windows environment with a mix of about 1500 laptops/desktops.

Over the past 6 months or so we've been looking more at Blue Screens in our environment. We see on average a few a day. Statistics note we had 4000 last year, around 1000 the year before, and this year we are on pace for around 2500.

The challenge is I am having 1 or 2 technicians pulled away from other things to chase what feels like ghosts. We have great way to know what BSODs happened (Splunk). We don't get many tickets from users, most of them don't even know somthing happened.

Our CIO is making this a big push however, to solve the BSOD issue (I don't think we can ever solve it).

I am curious what other organizations do to troubleshoot these things, do you have specific tools, teams, processes, etc?

If it matters, we have a recent influx of this STOP code and are doing our best to try and correlate this to what has changed in the environment (patches, etc)

Stop Code: 0x0000000A
