I've been reading so many depressing books lately (just by coincidence). Are there any happy books that are actually good?
When I think of happy books, I think of like, Douglas Adams and Hitchhikers Guide to Galaxy. That's a pretty fun book, when you don't focus on the fact that Earth blew up and all but 2 humans were killed...
But in general, yeah.... most of the really really good books I can think of are sad, melancholy, tragic... etc
The last two books I read were: All The King's Men; and The Winter of Our Discontent...
Both were a bit intense, and focused on the corruption and immortality in society...
Can happy positive books still be masterpieces? Please let me know what happy/positive books you enjoy!
