I haven’t read a book in years and I’m pretty ashamed about it.
I used to be a voracious reader. I always had a goal of reading 50 books a year, and I usually made my goal. I didn’t really know what my interests were so I mostly read classic literature. I don’t know what happened exactly (mental health struggles mostly) but at some point I just stopped and now I feel very out of practice.
I prefer fiction. I love horror, magical realism, and historical fiction but I’m up for anything. I now love Dungeons and Dragons so I wouldn’t mind trying some medieval fantasy. I would prefer not to read any unfinished series though. I’m a big fan of short story collections. I don’t know if I can delve back into classic lit right now… I probably need something a little lighter and easier to read.
Thanks so much for any/all suggestions!
EDIT: Thank you all again! For your kind comments and recs! Reading through them all and making a list of books to check out now!
