Happy, chill, or otherwise "nice" books?
Things in my life right now make me not want to read about death, depression, war, human unkindness, etc. I need something light, fun, and/or hopeful (but not completely silly, poorly crafted, or lacking depth). Some comfort books of mine are Howl's Moving Castle, The Last Unicorn, and George: A Magpie Memoir. Please and thank you.
Edit: Thank you, all, for such thoughtful recommendations. I have a long reading list to get me through this Fall and Winter. I'm also gonna head over to cozyfantasy. We have many Tolkien and Discworld books at home as well as Hitchhiker's Guide. I've read some suggestions already (including the first book of The Witcher series, which wasn't exactly what I expected and was enjoyable), so y'all are hitting the mark.
