Finally Peacefulness Appears
I am two weeks in and recently survived Satanic Cravings. I read “Food Junkies” by Vera Tarman and followed some of her advice:
I quit coffee. Yes, unthinkable. But Vera Tarman suggests that addictive foods pull addictive eating. So drinking coffee can drive cravings for sugar. So I stopped. Instead of coffee in the morning I drink Tazo vanilla chai with lemon slice. I do consume decaf in the evening.
I added more food. At lunch I eat 2 boiled eggs, one avocado and cooked veggie as I like hot food in winter. At dinner I eat raw bell pepper, then cooked veggie and protein. Meatballs were today. Then I snack on almonds, sometimes cheese but will finish three hours before sleep.
With all that, yesterday was a hell of stressful day, I had no cravings. Today after work went groceries shopping and purchased broccoli, carrots, and a bag of almonds. Walked by all the cakes, cold meats, chocolate and did not feel anything. And that is Friday night after stressful week!!!
Even if I will not lose weight very fast as I am eating very well, I am fine with it for as long as I feel food serenity! The noise is not there
