Has the game's performance improved since release?

Hey stalkers. Just like many of you, I was waiting for the game's release with excitement, but decided to stay away from it after seeing the reviews of poor performance, bugs/glitches and softlocks. How has things changed? Is it a good time to jump into the game or not?
