Navigating Big Bear Next Week

My family is spending a week in Big Bear next week. Looks like they haven't had any snow, nor does it look like there will be any snow in the forecast. So guessing I'll be boarding for my 2nd time on whatever fake snow they have. My 1st time snowboarding was about 20 years ago. I will be taking beginner snowboarding lessons on the 1st day.

Will it be ok learning on this type of snow? Or will it be a literal pain in the a**?

We bought season passes so fingers crossed we'll be back more times this year. My young child will be learning how to ski because his father grew up skiing and it's a big deal to him.
