Rail lip jumps

Obviously we all hate when people use the lips for rails as little kicker jumps. But how do we feel when someone uses the kicker to air over the rail? I am personally not a big fan of rails or boxes, I can do them but often chose not too. I really enjoy big air style jumps, much over rails and boxes. So I was wondering if it’s frowned upon to air over the rail completely, or potentially hitting an intentional tail tap on the way down?
