T-bagging and BMing is fine

First, I would like to say that me personally I do not T-bag or BM (bad manners) so I’m not just saying this to justify my behavior. T-bagging and BM is disrespectful for sure, but is it really as bad as people make it out to be? A lot of the times when I see people talk about it and how someone on elite smash T-bagged and beat them, they make such visceral remarks and just seem really upset. I know this game is something that a lot of people are passionate about, me included, but, it’s still just a game! T-bagging is just friendly banter and shouldn’t be taken so seriously. Attacking someone personally because of it just isn’t ok. This also applies to unpopular playstyles and playing toxic characters. As long as what’s happening is kept in-game and the BM is just banter, there shouldn’t really be any reason to get genuinely upset and insult the other person personally.
