Survival mode and freezing to death every time I turn it on

Feeling extremely frustrated with this god damn game. Been doing the main quest and spent three hours clearing out blackreach. (I play on switch btw)

I’ve just been quick saving as I’ve never had a problem with it and go through the quest. (Basically I was trying to completely clear it out) I at last get out and decide to make my way straight back to septimus. I have a few hot soups and I have to use them all to avoid dying on the way there. I think I can make it to winterhold and realise nope I’m about to die, without thinking I just turn off survival mode until I get back to the inn. I have my character right next to a fire when it turn it back on, but after a few seconds I die instantly. I think oh crap I’ll just load back to when I came out of septimus signus, nope my autosave is gone. My only other save was mine from the start of blackreach.

Three hours ago

I’ve tried everything, fur armour, holding a torch, become ethereal. Nothing works, I try as fast as possible to make a new hot soup when I turn on survival and guess what, the game manages to load in survival modes freezing bar, but i still have to do the double toggle on and off for the hot soups to become available at a cooking pot. No where near enough time for me to make it and eat it. Here venting because I’m extremely pissed off at this broken mechanic, how the hell is my character dying of cold when I’ve done every precaution to keep them warm. I actually really enjoy playing survival, and I don’t want it to be permanently broken so I have no choice but to redo blackreach all over again. And every fix I’ve found for this, is useless to me as it’s just use a console command. Afternoon ruined lmao
