Erik the slayer appreciation post.
(I robbed the screenshot off of the elder scrolls fandom)
I've recently re-downloaded Skyrim and made a new character (I do this at some point once a year) I stumbled into Rorikstead and was immediately reminded of this character and his aspirations in becoming an adventurer.
I also understand that this character is a bit of a tribute to a fan who unfortunately passed away. But I wanted to briefly talk about Erik as a character in-game
It's interesting seeing the dynamic between an overprotective father and his ambitious son. His protective nature is apparent even after you convince him to let Erik be an adventurer. Despite Erik preferring light armor and 2 handed weapons I assume the father purchased the iron armor and a sword/shield because they realistically provide better defense and thus meaning less of a chance for Erik to get injured. (
Erik is just a damn gem overall. He doesn't mind carrying your 15 bundles of dragon bones, he's enthusiastic everywhere he goes, he actually thanks you when you heal/buff him. He also doesn't charge again if you dismiss/rehire.
Erik's my boy and I don't care if he's capped at lvl 40.
Anyway, that's all.
