Where did the Arkeyans come from?
So we know that the Arkeyan’s are an ancient technological race consisting of robots. The Skylanders wiki (I’m not sure if its validity) stated that not only were they a rapidly developing race but they were also the first to discover the tech element, but once they began to mix magic and machinery, “they went too far.”
The trivia section also points out that since that since the iron fist of Arkus can transform organic beings into mechanical robots, as well as the fact there are bakery’s in the city of Arkus, this could suggest that the Arkeyan’s were organic at one time. There is also talk of good Arkeyan’s standing up against them, which is proven by Chop-chop and drill sergant. Thought the winking also states that because these good Arkeyan’s wished to stay peaceful and instead play their sport Roboto-ball, which had an exploding ball helped lead to the demise of the good Arkeyans.
My theory: The Arkeyan’s were once organic beings, who made great technological strides faster the rest of Skylanders, and used it to protect sky lands from the darkness, as the wiki states. Once the y began to combine magic with their tech, and realised its potential, things took a dark turn. The Arkeyan king constructed the fist and became a robotic being, and from their made great change to the Arkeyan race.
Option 1 - The Arkeyan king began to produce massive amounts of robots, such as the Arkeyan war machines in his image. The king used the magic of the fist to give all his creations life, and wiped out the organic Arkeyan’s, leaving only their mechanical creations as the new populace of the Arkeyan race.
Option 2 - With the mixing of magic and tech, many Arkeyan’s (either by choice or because of the king) began to become sentient mechanical beings, so much so that the majority of Arkeyan’s were now robots. Perhaps some stayed organic, necessitating the need for bakery’s and such to stay around, or they truly were a part of history from then on. From there the Arkeyan king was able to bind the fate of his subjects to the iron fist, explaining why seemingly sentient robots were still shut down without someone to wield the fist.
This is more or less the only way I can make sense of this thing that really doesn’t need to make sense. What are your thoughts?
