What do you think of my Head-canon?
My head canon is that Catra’s species/race is actually native to the planet the best friend squad first met Melog on (I can’t remember the name I’m sorry). I came up with this idea mainly because of how fast Melog bonded with Catra as if they recognized her to some extent and how Catra was able to pretty much communicate with Melog pretty easily.
As for how her people would get to Atheria I imagine that when the First Ones realized the planet was a lost cause they likely took some of Catra’s people with them either out of fondness or as ‘servants’ and then most of them likely died due to diseases and predators they just weren’t capable of fighting off which would explain why Catra seems to be the last of her kind.
