Religion should not be mentioned at all in US politics
I'm getting really tired of how much of an influence religion, especially Christian nationalism, has on politics. Separation of church and state exists for a reason. Bibles should not be in public classrooms and the 10 commandments should not be on government/public buildings. Politicians should not even mention god or any other religious material while in public office. I'm completely fine with them doing that in private, just should not be allowed to mention it at all in public.
I've been thinking this way for a while now but I just had my tipping point after seeing a tweet from Matt Soper, Colorado republican house of representatives district 54 tweeting (with his official title) that he thanks god that former president Carter is dead
