Do you watch League, what's the spectator experience like compared to Union

Sorry if this has been touched on before, or isn't allow since it's half about the other code. I have only ever watched rugby union since I was maybe a preteen (I'm 39 now). Live in America, lived in the UK for a time but in London so no exposure to League. When I say none I mean I have literally never watched a single League match in my life, just a few highlights on YouTube and what I've read about the differences. So I know the law differences broadly but my question for those who watch both is, what's the viewership experience like compared to Union? Do you feel like you're watching a completely different sport or are they equally enjoyable for spectators? I ask because I've noticed there are a fair bit of Super League matches on a channel I get (Fox Soccer Plus for the Americans) and I was considering checking it out.
