Posties - “Please scan on delivery” sticker?

Received this and just curious… That sticker stuck onto the postage label does nothing, surely?

Either the sender paid for a service with delivery confirmation, or they didn’t. If they didn’t, you’ll ignore the sticker. If they did, you know it needs scanning and don’t need a reminder to do your job? 🤷‍♀️

Or have I got that wrong?
