HELP: Staying as a student in Termini???

Hello I have booked a room next to the train rails in triburtina station, and in front of a main road of the city which I would have to cross everyday. This room is 20min away from my uni by public transportation. I have found a new room 5min away from termini station Rome and it's very close to my university. I have received mixed opinions, from students that live near termini saying is not that bad to people telling me I should avoid living near termini 100%. The second room (termini one) is closer to my uni and not in the ground floor + not in front of the train rails. What should I do??? I am 23/f. My roommates in both apartments would be also girls.
