Bad time to come back?

Hello, I haven't touched any games from Riot for probably just over 2 years now, and yet I just recently found myself thinking about League of legends again (Mainly thinking about my main Jhin ig). So now I'm left wondering if now is a bad time to come back given the introduction of Riot Vanguard, and after a quick scroll through this subreddit's feed, I've seen some negativity surrounding it.

So I'll just reiterate the question quickly: Would it be safer to avoid coming back to Riot games for the time being until Riot have sorted their anti cheat out?
