There is more than one camp dialogue that references them working in the "worlds oldest profession".

Miss Grimshaw says she is/was the Madam - which is the boss of a whore house. She says they aren't "working".

Then Arthur calls Uncle 'the worst pimp in the world' which is who would run street prostitutes

I feel like this is a pretty bad female trope. I mean women had legitimate jobs
