Sewing Machine Recommendations?

Hello!! I’m relatively new, and need a recommendation for a sewing machine that is good for quilting. My current machine is the Janome Artic Crystal Easy-to-Sew that I had picked up for $13 on an auction site. I made my first quilt with it, but it doesn’t switch between stitches and now the bobbin is all jacked up. She’s given me her all, but I rather get something that I can grow with rather than spend the money to get it fixed and get another machine as I get better! I want to stay under $300. This is just a hobby for me, and I want to make quilts and clothes, but I’m also not trying to break the bank. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!! (Pictures of my first quilt for my niece)
