Does B42 tackle the most annoying of mechanics: Boredom?
My gaming itch has swung from Rimworld back towards PZ recently, and I'm getting back into it, especially ahead of the general release of build 42 after having watched Nurse, Rezza, and a few other Youtubers tackle the early build of it.
At the moment, I'd stopped updates on my game in Build 41, and my survivor is currently unloading a trailer packed full of weapons, gear, and ammunition raided from the military surplus store after having cleared out a couple hundred zombies in order to get it done. And yet, despite a day of blasting and stabbing zeds with shotgun and hunting knife, she's getting bored unloading the loot. And now I'm remembering why I always take the Joyful trait... except this time, because I hadn't played in a while, I forgot.
So, rather than rehashing the same old "the boredom mechanic is trash" argument that's been kicked around for nigh on half a decade now, I'm just going to ask: does build 42 address this terrible mechanic at all?
